A one day course aimed at early and intermediate surgical trainees featuring live surgery of the management of elective oesophageal reflux disease and hiatus hernia. Multiple cases will be performed and beamed live in 2D 4K and 3D HD with moderation from an expert panel of surgeons.

Woven between the live surgery will be face to face teaching on anatomy, investigation, medical management, decision making, surgical techniques and management of complications.

Opportunity to learn and practice laparoscopic techniques of fundoplication in animal models including suturing using state of the art simulation equipment.

The programme times are approximate and will be adjusted in relation to the live surgery.

Laparoscopic simulators will be available throughout the day for flexible learning with surgical tutors available.
