A one day course aimed at early and intermediate surgical trainees featuring live surgery of the laparoscopic management of groin hernia. Including face to face teaching on anatomy, investigation, decision making, surgical techniques, management of complications and outomes.
The programme times are approximate and will be adjusted in relation to the live surgery.

Multiple cases of elective laparoscopic hernia repair (TAPP and TEPP) performed by experts throughout the day and beamed live in 2D 4K and 3D HD with moderation from an expert panel of surgeons.
Including direct / indirect / recurrent and femoral hernias.
Lectures / Face to Face teaching
Anatomy of the groin. Laparoscopic anatomy and common variation.
Step by step surgical approach. TAPP versus TEPP
Tips and tricks.
How to manage intra-operative complications and difficulties.
When not to operate laparoscopically (contraindications.)
