Gynaecology

Extended Day Case Laparoscopic Hysterectomy Integrated Care Pathway Suitable patients are recruited from our gynae outpatient clinic. They receive extensive pre-operative counselling and post-operative contact from our Clinical Nurse Specialist, Wendy Mitchell. Patients are admitted to the surgical short stay unit on the morning of their procedure. They undergo their operation during the day and then are discharged home the following morning having been in hospital for less than 24 hours.
